Sports Performance Enhancement Training
Sports Performance Enhancement Training (SPET), speed enhancement, increased agility, overspeed training, increasing overall athletic ability. Specific training modules designed for the serious athlete.
On the first training visit, athletes will undergo a comprehensive Athletic Ability Assessment (AAA). Results from the one-hour testing session compare the athlete with thousands of other athletes of the same age, sport, and position. These data are also used to design a program that concentrates on the athlete's limiting factors of performance.
Specific training techniques will be used:
- Over speed training with harness systems and high speed treadmills.
- Strength training for hypertrophy, muscle power and general strength.
- Conversion of strength to power, speed, and explosion.
- Stretch shortening power training.
- Energy system training
When the athletes training program is finished another Athletic Ability Assessment is completed and the progress is reported to the athlete. We will be able to provide quantitative measurements of athletic/fitness gains made during the athletes sports performance enhancement, speed enhancement training program.
